It’s Our Fox River Day cleanup Sept. 20

The Conservation Foundation will host its annual “It’s Our Fox River Day” Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m..

The effort is led by the foundation with other local organizations like the Friends of the Fox River to clean litter out of the Fox River in locations from Ottawa to Waukesha, Wis..

Volunteers can meet in St. Charles at Ferson Creek Park off Route 31, in Oswego at multiple locations near N. Harrison Street, or Yorkville at Riverfront Park on E. Hydraulic Street.

Volunteers can clean up litter on land or bring their own kayak or canoe to collect trash out of the water. Trash bags and tools will be provided, but volunteers should bring their own gloves and reusable water bottles if necessary.
