I’m sorry, but I left a few things, out of my article, last week.

First off The Mug Tavern, was a great place to see live bands on the weekends.

I saw quite a few.

I saw the bands Off Broadway and Survivor. Jim Peterik, from Berwyn Ill., formed Survivor, where he played keyboard.

Peterik wrote the hit song “Eye of the Tiger,” for the movie Rocky, and then “Burning Heart,” for Rocky IV.

Peterik was lead singer and guitarist for the Ides of March, a garage band, from Berwyn in the 1960s.

Their hit song, was “Vehicle,” along with “You Wouldn’t Listen” and “L.A. Goodbye”.

Peterik, is a great songwriter and has co-written for other bands such as 38 Special and Sammy Hagar.

Moving south, I talked about the old train station.

It had pews inside, just like a church and a huge clock, which reminded me of Union Station, in Chicago.

It was the only place, to catch Amtrak, going west.

They said it wasn’t worth fixing, and bulldozed it down.

On the corner of North Avenue, I mentioned a KFC, it’s now a Citgo Gas Station.

This week, I wanted to discuss fast food.

I’ve seen people pull up to the drive-thru and wait patiently for their food.

Sometimes it’s worse inside.

The prices they charge now, are ridiculous, you can almost go to a regular sit-down restaurant, and get served faster, for the same price.

All of the fast food places are making their sandwiches and sides with smaller portions, but charging larger prices.

They don’t care about customers anymore, it’s just about business.

Look at the prices we pay in the grocery stores and the price of gas.

They tell us there is no inflation. They’re wrong.

I know stuff has gone up, since I was a kid, but it’s gotten way out of hand.

We live in a country, where the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.

There is no middle class.

But, next week I’ll get back on track, or street, in Aurora.

Until then, have a nice week.
