Individuals seeking Summer, seasonal or year-round, part-time employment are invited to learn more about job opportunities at businesses and at the Naperville Park District by attending the 2020 Community Job Fair. The Naperville Park District and KidsMatter are co-hosts.
The Job Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 at Fort Hill Activity Center in the gymnasium, first floor, 20 Fort Hill Drive in Naperville. It is a free event and is intended for a variety of job-seekers, from high school students, ages 15 and up, to senior adults.
KidsMatter will offer mock interviews, resume-building and other workforce preparation for both high school and college students. The job fair was planned for early January so that students who are home on Winter break could attend.
The 2020 Job Fair will include opportunities for retirees and other adults seeking part-time work. For example, park maintenance and golf course maintenance positions at the Naperville Park District can be ideal for retirees who are looking for a flexible schedule. Additionally, positions at Fort Hill Activity Center and in recreation programs often have flexible daytime schedules. As in 2019, lifeguard positions in 2020 will be structured in shorter shifts with the option of shallow water only positions or full facility positions.
“We look forward to hosting the Community Job Fair with KidsMatter to assist jobseekers, fill current job opportunities at a wide variety of area businesses. We encourage people to attend and explore the employment opportunities, even if they don’t know exactly what type of job they want. We are especially excited to get an early start in filling our seasonal positions with job fair attendees,” said Katie Sepe, director of human resources for the Naperville Park District.
