Plano Rotary Club members, at their recent Club meeting, congratulated long-standing member and sergeant-at-arms, Joe Roberts, for achieving the Rotary International honor of Paul Harris Fellow.
The Paul Harris Fellow recognition through Rotary International acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation. Rotary established this recognition in 1957 to encourage and show appreciation for substantial contributions.
Joe Roberts is the president of IL Agencies for FNIC Trusted Insurance Advisors, formerly known as First Insurance Group in Plano and the owner/operator of the Roberts Family Farm featuring beef cattle, raw wool, farm fresh eggs, and honey. He is a past president of the Plano Rotary Club and has served for several years as sergeant-at-arms and fine master. He is highly-regarded amongst Club members for his example and wisdom, as well as his quick wit and humor.
Club president Barb Nadeau surprised him with the presentation of the Paul Harris Fellow Award during the Club’s May meeting.
