Naperbrook Golf Course hosted a total of 108 youth golfers July 7 at the 2025 Naperville Junior Amateur Championship. This outing is a part of the 2025 Brooks Tournament Series presented by Woody Buick GMC. Youth golfers ages nine to 17 years old were divided into flights based on age and gender. The top five finishers from each flight received awards. The winners of each flight are as follows:
A-Flight (Boys 16-17), Aiden Xie, 74
C-Flight (Boys 13-14), Noah Redmond, 73
D-Flight (Girls 13-14), Siya Sohal, 88
E-Flight (Boys 11-13), Daniel Lulkiewicz, 41
F-Flight (Girls 11-13), Chloe Lee, 36
G-Flight (Boys 9-10), Hoonie Lee, 27
H-Flight (Girls 9-10), Emma Chau, 33
The A-Flight ended in a three-way tie between Aiden Xie, Zade Gubrich and Tegan Clancy, leading to a playoff starting on hole 10 and finishing on hole 15. Siya Sohal led the girls 13-14 group with a score of 88.
“We had perfect weather for the event, low 80s and sunny,” said Naperbrook Head Golf Professional Joel Wallin. “A big thank you to the Naperbrook staff for a well-run tournament and all of the volunteers who helped with scoring.”
The next event of the 2025 Brooks Tournament Series is the Naperville Men’s Amateur Championship at Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20. Registration for the event is in progress at www.golfnaperville.org.
