Kids ages three to 12 can celebrate the Tour de France in Naperville with the Park District’s annual Junior Tour de Naperville Saturday, Aug. 9. Children will have the opportunity to ride bikes, tricycles, or big wheels along the 1.2-mile loop trail at Wolf’s Crossing Community Park, 3252 Wolf’s Crossing Road, Naperville. Parents are welcome to accompany their child around the course or cheer for them from the sidelines. All participants are required to wear a helmet.
Each age group will start at separate times. Kids three through five year olds will begin at 9 a.m. followed by the six through eight years at 10 a.m., and will finish with nine through 12 years at 11 a.m.. The older children are encouraged to challenge themselves by riding around the course as many times as they can.
Each registered child will receive a yellow t-shirt, and there will be “support and gear” (SAG) stops throughout the course with water for the participants.
