Compiling all the figures which allow life to exist
Make this determination, life here is no accident.
Some factors are so critical that they will head the list;
But all of them together makes you wonder the intent.
Most life forms are simply there, and bear no threat to us;
But others are a danger if allowed to proliferate.
Together all these factors give good reason to discuss;
But human ego stymies logic questioning our fate.
So human ego may well be the cause of our demise;
The “my way nor the highway” and, of course, the “know it all,”
Especially when each of these types proclaim that they are wise;
So war, disease, pollution numbs ego, and predicts our fall.
