Theresa Barreiro, Kane County circuit clerk; Jamie Mosser Kane County States attorney, State representative Barbara Hernandez; Kane County Law Library; and volunteers, will be host to their annual Expungement Clinic from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3 at Aurora Public Library, 101 S. River Street, Aurora.
Theresa Barreiro, Kane County circuit clerk, said her office enjoys coming together with other volunteers and the public at these events. The clinics help parties learn what it takes to get criminal offenses removed from their Kane County record if they are eligible. Volunteers meet one on one to help begin the expungement process on Kane County eligible cases with the approved statewide forms. Once forms are complete they get filed at the Circuit Clerk’s office and the States Attorney begins the approval process within 60 Days.
