Thomas M. Hartwell, Kane County Circuit clerk along with other political and community leaders are planning to distribute more than 4,000 protective face masks and care packages to those in need this weekend.
The free care packages will be available from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 16 at the New Life Covenant Church, 2250 W. Highland Avenue, Elgin.
The care package will include protective face masks, hand sanitizer, food items, and fresh Oberweis milk.
A maximum of four masks will be distributed per vehicle while supplies last. First come, first served. No ID or documentation will be needed to receive the masks. Recipients should drive into the church parking lot, remain in their vehicles, receive their masks, and care package and exit the lot.
Thomas M. Hartwell, a member of New Life Covenant Church, believes the protective mask giveaway and care package program is a great way for his church to get involved.
