A recycling event will be from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 17, 540 S. Randall Road, St. Charles, will shred documents, accept clothing, textiles, small home goods bikes and accessories, latex-based paints and coatings. Please do not arrive before 7:45 a.m., because it impedes setup. All stations and services are free for Kane County residents, except latex paint recycling. Cost of latex paint is: One pint can or smaller, $1; one-gallon can, $3; two-gallon can, $5; five-gallon, $15. Paint must still be liquid to be recycled. If it has dried out, dispose of it in your regular trash. Oil-based and aerosol/spray paint will not be accepted.
