NASCAR Cup Series, Consumers Energy 400, Michigan International Speedway, Brooklyn, Mich., Sunday, Aug. 9.
Kevin Harvick won the race followed by Denny Hamin in second place, Martin Truex, Jr. in third, Kyle Busch in fourth, and Joey Logano in fifth.
Ryan Blaney was in front with Brad Keselowski in second place with 57 laps to go in the race. Keselowski made a move on the inside and his car hit Blaney and both cars slid up into the wall. Both cars were out of the race.
Hamlin and Harvick fought it out for the victory, with Harvick the victor. Harvick’s Ford beat Hamlin’s Toyota by one-tenth of a second.
Harvick is 10th for all-time NASCAR victories with 55 and is tied with Bubba Wallace. He is the driver with the most victories this season with six. Last year’s champion, Kyle Busch, has no victories this season.

Race winner was Keselowski in his No. 2 Ford. Runner up in second place was Hamlin followed by Truex, Jr. in third place, Joe Logano fourth, and Harvick in fifth.
Early in first stage Kyle Busch hit the wall and was out of the race with a DNF. His teammate, Denny Hamlin, won first stage.
Keselowski won the second stage and the race. It was Keselowski’s 33rd NASCAR victory of his career.
• Next week’s NASCAR race will be a road race at Daytona Speedway. A limited number of fans will be permitted to attend in front-stretch seating and limited camping areas.
• In other important racing news, the Indianapolis 500 will be Sunday, Aug. 23 with Indy Cars in Indianapolis, Ind. at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with an 11 a.m. CT start.
