The 69th Annual Kiwanis Club of Aurora Pancake Breakfast, Saturday, at Aurora Central Catholic High School, finds Kiwanis Club of Aurora members working together to make thousands of pancakes on two rotating grills that were designed and built by Kiwanis member Al Sinden, vice president of Engineering at Stephens-Adamson in Aurora. The first grill was built in 1959 for the total cost of $512.34. It started in 1960 and served 3,202. Grill No. 2 was made a couple of years later. In 2015, Grill No. 1 was named for long-time member, Hal Beebee, who passed away in 2015. A video can be seen at facebook.com/thevoice.us. Jason Crane/The Voice
