Dear editor;
We have a very important election coming up this May. We have had the same management company for years now. The same old excuses over and over. We need a change in this election. This current board needs to be replaced by new board members. That why I’m asking you to put your name on the ballot if you want to get involved and join me this Spring. I was on the current board of directors but resigned because I refused to be on the same board, with the same way of thinking year after year. I resigned because the secretary accused me of something that she couldn’t prove, and then she apologized in an open meeting and said it came out wrong. Unacceptable!
I got elected two years ago and promised transparency on this board. I said we would get 6 foot fences and bigger sheds, well with my help in clearing that path from the inept last manager, it happened. I said I would make sure we got a new manager because the old one didn’t speak appropriately to our club members, and that happened. I said if Realmanage doesn’t do their job we would replace them as well.
Now, we have that opportunity to do so. We have over $500,000 sitting in our funds. We still have issues with projects not starting up on time, people getting fines that are not right. Board members not compliant with their home and getting away with it year after year. I want you to look at our dirty pools, dirty locker rooms, outdated clubhouse, neglected landscaping, horrible web-site portal. Who is in charge of all that? Our board of directors, and Realmanage. The President of the board said I wasted funds for asking for an audit. I don’t think so. I had the books opened because I promised transparency on the board for the membership. Why doesn’t he want audits and transparency? Who has the spending debit cards and oversees the spending of petty cash? We have a lot of money that sits in there while things around the clubhouse are falling apart. Take a look at who manages the surrounding Clubs in the other Lakewood Springs Club houses. Better management groups. I’m asking for your Proxy vote in the upcoming election so I can continue to be on the board and continue to offer transparency, being your voice , and standing up for what is right, and keeping our money accounted for. Our board needs someone questioning how money is spent, and an honest voice that speaks on your behalf. I can’t stress enough about getting a new management company, and a new attorney for our club. Change is needed desperately. Our Club needs new ideas and a cleansing of old business as usual.
Please vote for me in the next election. Lets not waste any more time to enjoy our Club. That’s what we’re paying for. RealManage doesn’t live in our community, but they sure cash their checks from our Club!
