The League of Women Voters Aurora Area will be host to two virtual candidate forums Wednesday, June 1 for candidates running in the Democratic Primary for the Illinois House of Representatives District 83 and the Democratic Party Primary for Judge of the Circuit Court 16th Judicial Circuit (Kane County).
The first forum for the House of Representatives District 83 will begin at 6 p.m. June 1. The second forum for Judge of the Circuit Court 16th Judicial Circuit will begin at 8 p.m. June 1, following the first forum. Both forums will be presented live on Facebook Live on the League’s Facebook page: League of Women Voters Aurora Area, Illinois. The forums will be recorded and posted on the League’s website, www.lwvauroraarea.org following the event.
Invitations were extended to Illinois House District 83 Democratic Party candidates, Matt Hanson and Arad Boxenbaum, and Illinois Judicial 16th Circuit Court Democratic Party judicial candidates, Bianca Camargo, Brittany Pedersen, Tom St. Jules, and Jason Kopec. Candidates voters selected in the June 28 General Primary will appear on the General Election ballot November 8.

Here are some important dates to know for the upcoming June 28, General Primary:
• June 12: Last day to register online;
• June 23: Last day to request a vote-by-mail application;
• June 28: General Primary Election Day.
