• Bliss Woods habitat restoration work day: A habitat restoration work day will be held at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve Saturday, March 2 from 9 a.m. to noon. The group will cut and stack invasive brush and trees. Tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your favorite loppers and hand cutters. Bliss Woods is a beautiful, high-quality woodland host to many unusual plants. Removing invasive species will help sustain its unique nature. Please dress in layers and bring warm work gloves and warm, sturdy shoes. We will meet at the parking lot of Temple Belen at 42w635 Kedeka Road. Refreshments will be available at the break. Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. For further information please send to Mary Ochsenschlager at maryoxie@sbcglobal.net or call Robb at the Kane County Forest Preserve at 630-232-5980.
