• Kane County’s Recycling collection event: The Kane County Electronics Recycling Program next one-day recycling event will be Saturday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to noon at 540 S. Randall Road. There will be document shredding available with a limit of four boxes. Electronics and books will be accepted.
There is a fee for TVs and computer monitors, both tube and flat screen, of $25. for screens under 21 inches (measured diagonally) and $35. for screens 21 inches and larger. The fee may be paid online in advance or onsite by exact cash or card. Items accepted for free include: Cables and cords, cell phones, computers, fax machines, printers, vcrs, and video game consoles.
