Little Mermaid play, West Aurora

West Aurora High School’s fine arts department will stage “The Little Mermaid” at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, April 24-26 and a “Tea under the Sea” luncheon with cast members Sunday, April 27. Performances will take place in the school auditorium at 1201 W. New York Street in Aurora.

“Little Mermaid” admission is $8 for students if purchased online; $10 for students at the door; $13 for adults if purchased online; and $15 for adults at the door. Visit sd129tickets.org for tickets.

“Tea under the Sea,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, April 27, will be in the school cafeteria (enter door 22). Features include lunch with Under Sea characters, a dance class with cast members and craft and activity stations. Tickets are limited. Visit vancoevents.com/us/DBPO.

Originally produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, the play is based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the Disney film produced by Howard Ashman and John Musker. Musker and Ron Clements wrote and directed the production.
