NASCAR Cup Series, Goodyear 400, Darlington Raceway, Darlington, S.C., Sunday, May 8.
The race was with a throw-back theme and the cars were painted just like the cars of the 1970s. Joey Logano won the retro race, followed by Tyler Reddick in second place, Justin Haley in third, Kevin Harvick in fourth, and Chase Elliott in fifth.
The first stage was won by Logano with Ross Chastain in second.
During the second stage, Kyle Busch was involved in a wreck. One of the fast cars all day, Chastain, won the second stage ahead of Martin Truex, Jr.
Stage three started with Chastain jumping out to the lead, but at the end of the first lap he lost grip and slid into the wall. Later in the last stage, Truex, Jr. spun out and caused many cars to spin and be in wrecks. Coming down to the last lap, Logano was chasing down William Byron in the lead; Logano did a bump-and-run and caused Byron to lose grip and hit the wall and lose many positions to give Logano the victory.
NASCAR Cup Series, DuraMAX Drydene 400, Dover Motor Speedway, Dover, Del., Monday, May 2.
The race was won by Chase Elliot followed by Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.. In third place was Chastain, Chris Bell in fourth, and Alex Bowman in fifth.
Stage one began Sunday, May 1 with Chris Buescher on the pole and Kyle Larson in second. Rain started and the race was postponed to Monday.
Stage one continued and Denny Hamlin won the first stage over Elliott.
After pit stops between stages, Hamlin drove out on pit lane and was almost passed by his own tire. Hamlin had to restart at the back of the field.
During the second stage Larson spun out and lost more than 20 positions. The second stage was won by Ryan Blaney over Kyle Busch.
During the last stage Larson finished in sixth place.
NASCAR Cup Series, Geico 500, Talladega Superspeedway, Talladaga, Ala., Sunday, April 24.
Chastain won followed by Austin Dillon in second, Kyle Busch in third, Larson in fourth, and Truex, Jr. in fifth.
Pole was won by Daniel Suarez. With three laps to go in stage onr, Daniel Hemric, Chase Briscoe, and Austin Dillon all were involved in a wreck. There was a three-lap shoot out for the stage win, which Wallace won.
In the middle of the second stage Logano was in a bunch with Ty Dillon, Austin Cindric, and Bubba Wallace. Second stage winner was William Byron.
There was a wreck on the final lap with 200 feet to go, Chastain took the lead to win his second NASCAR race of his career.
