Dixon resident Mark Walsh, left, formerly of Oswego, is inducted into Aurora University’s athletic hall of fame Friday, Sept. 30. Presenting his award is Jim Hamad, right, AU vice president for athletics. Walsh was honored at the University’s homecoming alumni awards dinner in the University Banquet Hall. A 1976 Aurora College alum, Walsh was recognized for his accomplishments as a Spartan football coach, baseball coach, director of athletics, and a professor. He retired from AU in 2019.
