Those attending can purchase prime plants, all grown in Kendall County, and get helpful garden hints Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the University of Illinois Extension Office, 7775B IL Route 47, Yorkville, Route 47 one mile south of Route 71.
Free presentations and demonstrations topics scheduled: 9:30 a.m. Herb Container Gardening; 10 a.m. What to do with all that Zucchini and 10:30 a.m. Propagating Plant Cuttings.
The sale portion will include native, perennial and vegetable plants. The Master Gardener volunteers started more than 900 seedlings, including 14 varieties of tomatoes and 10 pepper varieties. There will be gently used gardening books for sale. Payments may be made by cash or check.
