As your habit of measuring time, I surmise,
May now come to you, actually, as a surprise;
Because you never thought of it that way before,
So in “measuring time” you must quickly learn more.
But, in truth, you will measure time some every day,
Like the things that you always do in the same way.
Repetition alone measures time that’s required,
And it’s easy when gauging just what is desired.
While the term, in itself, was not used when you learned,
Being accurate’s one thing, but quick is well earned.
But, of course, there’s another side, equally cast,
In the measuring of times that you wanted to last.
