Incumbent Michael B. Saville apparently advanced to the Tuesday, April 4 election runoff in his bid to represent Aurora’s Sixth Ward as the alderperson. He had received 56.17% of the vote counted late in the evening Tuesday, Feb. 28. There were five candidates on the ballot. The top two recipients of votes advance to the April 4 election.
There were 166 votes by mail outstanding Tuesday evening this week.
Incumbent Saville collected 296 votes, followed in order, with votes, by Benjamin Marcum, 95 votes, 18.03%; Nicole Mullins, 67, 12.71%; Matthew J. Orr, 51, 9.68%; Matt Harrington, 16, 3.04%.
The voter turnout was 6.72% of eligible voters.
