• The Board discussed traffic projections for several busy streets that intersect with Orchard Road.
Village documents show the Village of Montgomery tax increment financing – 2 (TIF-2) transportation study and Aucutt Road concept design includes the study and analysis of the existing roadway system and an evaluation of roadway improvements that will accommodate future needs due to land development.
The roadway improvement scenarios evaluated include Aucutt Road reconstruction and widening from Orchard Road to Route 31, Knell Road connection which would connect Orchard Road to Route 31, Edgelawn Drive extension from Jericho Road to Knell Road, Mulberry Drive extension from Aucutt Road to the north end of existing Mulberry Drive, and the Aucutt Road/Griffin Drive extensions west of Orchard Road. The roadway network, the existing right-of-way, water infrastructure needs, and drainage conditions were investigated in addition as part of this study.
The Board plans to bring this item back for further discussion and ultimate adoption of the study.
