The audit, conducted by Lauterbach & Amen, once again provided a clean opinion with no new recommendations for improvements. This stellar report highlights the Village’s strong financial health and continued excellence in financial practices.
Key highlights from the Fiscal Year 2024 report include:
- Improved Financial Position: The Village ended the fiscal year with a fund balance $1.5 million higher than the prior year, demonstrating prudent fiscal stewardship and careful resource allocation.
- Positive Long-Term Trends: A decade of trend information further underscores the Village’s robust financial standing, showcasing consistent growth and stability.
- Certificate of Achievement: For the 21st consecutive year, the Village was honored with the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.
