Original and popular tunes were among offerings by Naperville singer, songwriter and producer Brent Brown Tuesday.
Brown, 34, was featured in the Music at Messenger outdoor Summer concert series at Messenger Public Library of North Aurora.
With guitar and harmonica accompaniment, a twisty take on lyrics and an upbeat attitude, Brown performed country, pop and rock songs in a 90-minute performance.
A Naperville High School and College of DuPage graduate, Brown is president of his Mind Over Melody, Inc.
The library’s concert series, In its second annual season, highlights Fox Valley-area artists. Admission and parking are free. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs and picnic on the library’s rear lawn. Performances are held weather permitting. Registration is not required.
The series closes with two September concerts at the library, 113 Oak Street in North Aurora.
At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, Aaron Kelly and Demi Clara will perform American folk music.
