State representative Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, is raising awareness of a networking event held by the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to help organizations connect to Climate and Equitable Job Act (CEJA) funding opportunities. The event will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, in the Aurora Public Library, Eola Road Branch in Meeting Room 116, at 555 S. Eola Road in Aurora.
“There are many amazing grant opportunities out there for colleges, nonprofits, local governments, Equity Eligible Contractors and other community-based organizations to take advantage of that will help them grow for years to come,” Hernandez said. “However, navigating these grant programs can be a challenge. I’m happy to spread the word about a seminar the DCEO will be holding, one of many across Illinois, to help Aurorans use these programs to build a thriving future for their business or organization.”
Details about the event and grants can be found here: https://dceo.illinois.gov/ceja/ceja-program-announcements.html. Attendees can register here: http://tinyurl.com/4zvnpry. Those with questions can call Rep. Hernandez at 630-270-1848 or Repbarbarahernandez@gmail.com.
