New, free, COVID-19 testing site in Aurora opens

The free drive-through COVID-19 testing site at the Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora is relocating to 2450 N. Farnsworth Avenue, in Aurora, less than one-half mile north of the Chicago Premium Outlets. The free drive-through and walk-up testing site is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m..

The new Aurora testing site will continue to serve the outer suburbs of Chicago, being the third-most active site in the Northeast region, providing an average of 450 free tests to the surrounding communities.

Ten community-based testing sites (CBTS) are open daily throughout Illinois, providing an average of 25,000 free tests throughout the State. CBTS are in Chicago, Harwood Heights, Arlington Heights, Aurora, Waukegan, South Holland, Rockford, Champaign, Peoria, and East St. Louis.

Testing is free and available to all regardless of age, COVID-19 symptoms, or insurance status. Parent or guardian must be present and able to provide consent for individuals under the age of 18.
