The Messenger Public Library, 113 Oak Street, North Aurora, will need to be closed entirely for two consecutive days Monday, Sept. 16 and Tuesday, Sept. 17 because the entrance driveway and parking lots will be resurfaced in their entirety. The north emergency driveway will be regraded and redone with new granite gravel.
All of it is weather permitting the work to be done.
An alternate (or rain day(s)) would be Monday and Tuesday, September 23 and 24.
We will provide updates as is the usual of any changes as soon as we are able to do so.
Through September staff members, and at times patrons, will have to park in the church parking lot just to the west of the Library as temporary parking.
The safety of our employees and our patrons are of paramount concern during the duration of this project.
The project work will run with substantial completion by October 8.
The Library Board thanks everyone for patience and apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this project may cause temporarily to our Library patrons.
For more information on this project please contact the Library administrator Kevin Davis at 630-896-0240 or Director@messengerpl.org. Visit the Library website for further information at messengerpl.org.
