First there are other items of information which could not find room within the pages of The Voice this week. They are important items:
• National Diabetes Awareness: November is National Diabetes Awareness Month; Monday, Nov. 7 will be Cosmopolitan International Diabetes Awareness Day and Monday, Nov. 14 will be World Diabetes Day and Illinois Diabetes Awareness Day. Information was supplied by Russ George, of the Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora.
• Late breaking: The Luxie Craft Show will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Luxemberger Club, 416 High Street. Noon Saturday will be an open house for new members to sign up. Food will be available for purchase. The Luxie Club, along with others, has been closed down for its lunch and dinner. Will it be two weeks?
• The Fox Valley Veterans Breakfast Club will hold meetings at 7 a.m. both Thursday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Dec. 17 at 1 E. Benton, the former Aurora Public Library. No charge to attend. Breakfast will be served and masks and proper spacing observed.

• Regarding voting: We receive, choose, the government we deserve by voting, or not voting, by understanding the issues, or, not understanding the issues. We have future opportunities to exercise our rights. Continually! It is important.
• The C.H.A.N.G.E. initiative in Aurora, a review of police work, and five listening sessions through Thursday, Nov. 5, is the beginning and not the end of the process. It must continue in review and discussion. Other communities could find a process to be beneficial.
• Communication companies are dependent on resident participation. Always a two-way street.
