Dear editor;
Spring was my mother’s favorite season. Spring meant new life and hope for brighter days after Winter’s dreary cold and snow. Spring is upon us now after a year of sheltering in our homes, hoping and praying for a way out to share time with family and friends again.
Through leadership from the very top, we have free vaccines to vanquish our common enemy, COVID-19. Already many of us seniors have received at least one of our shots with the other on the horizon. I am grateful to the Oswego Senior Center (OSC) for guiding me to the Kendall County Health Department website to arrange my appointments.
Through the Senior Center, I have decades of knowledge, experience, and expertise, at hand. Although excised from former Traughber School, they are still producing an invaluable newsletter, providing virtual games of Bingo and holiday entertainment, health guidance, financial education, Zoom activities, and most of all, hope that together we can get through anything, including this pandemic.
Adding vaccines to continue to wear masks, distancing, and washing hands will get us together again. I would be proud to represent this wise body of seniors as an Oswego trustee. Please vote for me early, or, April 6.
