This new commercial bombshell promising this feat,
Removing wrinkles from old age—that standard beat.
That may sound good, but pardon when I question why;
For old age is a privilege, youth cannot apply.
Why do away with wrinkles, why the ego-burn?
It seems to me that wrinkles are but what you earn.
Besides that, they have value—look at help you get;
The more you have, more help is offered–a sure bet.
If you look fifty, but are eighty, you will see
You are expected to help those not wrinkle-free.
For as you pass each stage of life, as well you know,
You are required—compelled—to let some credits go;
So, once again, look fifty, thinking you have won,
What happens when they find out that you cannot run?
So being wrinkle-free will not entice me soon,
Although I don’t look forward looking like a prune.
