Keep Oswego healthy. Check on your neighbors.

Oswego residents are encouraged to take reasonable precautions based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and state and local health departments. Those precautions include washing your hands, staying home when you’re sick, disinfecting surfaces, maintaining social distance, and avoiding close contact with people who are sick.

Additionally, Village president Troy Parlier Saturday urged Oswego residents to come together, even as they maintain physical distance.

“Check on your family, friends, and neighbors,” Parlier said. “Give them a phone call, especially those who are elderly or may have health issues that might make them more vulnerable to more serious illness. If you’re doing a grocery run, offer to pick up some items they may need. Shop and dine with our small Oswego businesses, many of which offer various home delivery services. Together, we can ensure the health and safety of our community.”

For additional guidance on precautions you can take to keep yourself, your family, and the wider community healthy and slow the spread of infection, refer to the Kendall County Health Department’s Coronavirus website, kendallhealth.org/community-health/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov.
