Holiday care-avans to neighborhoods, a virtual tree-lighting ceremony, and a drive-through holiday celebration will bring the cheer to Oswego this year! The Village’s annual holiday event is 2020 Christmas Walk Week: Keeping Spirits Bright.
The Village of Oswego, Oswego Downtown Association, and presenting sponsor, Allied First Bank, will keep spirits bright and support downtown Oswego businesses with drive-through, socially-distanced, and online events, to begin with the online premier of the Tree Lighting Ceremony and the in-person Cookie Walk Saturday. It will culminate with the Christmas Drive Saturday, Dec. 12, plus illuminated holiday care-avans, throughout Oswego’s neighborhoods and downtown business will feature sneak peaks.
• Cookie Walk, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Main Street, Downtown Oswego.
A tin for $10 will start the collection of individually-wrapped cookies from 22 participating downtown small businesses. Tins are limited, and day-of tins may be purchased at Floral Expressions, 26 Main Street, while supplies last.

Tuesday, the green care-avanroute will start at Oswego East High School and wind through Prescott Mill, Brighton Meadows, Ogden Falls, Churchill Club, Victoria Meadows, Heritage, Farmington Lakes, Mill Race Creek, Windcrest, and Southbury.
Thursday, the red care-avanroute will start at the new Oswego Entertainment Venue and wind through Gates Creek West, Blackberry Knoll, Fox Chase, River Run, Gates Creek, Hunt Club, Downtown, Lakeview Estates West, Deerpath Creek, Morgan Crossing, Deerpath Trails, Ashcroft, and Southbury.

It is the sights and sounds of the season with a drive through the site of the future Oswego Entertainment Venue on Station Drive for music, illuminated holiday displays, and appearances from some special holiday guests at the site of the future Oswego Entertainment Venue. Arriving any time between 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. would be good.
