The Oswego Police Department made the following traffic enforcement actions during Labor Day enforcement effort.
• 43 seat belts and child safety seat citations;
• 3 distracted driver’s citations;
• 16 speeding citations;
• One suspended driver.
Oswego Police Department enforcement dates went from August 20 through September 7, to get drunk and drugged drivers off our roads and encourage seat belt use. The effort featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities, including a media campaign.
As traffic safety partners, we do our best to make sure all drivers and other road users are safe. Although such enforcement campaigns save lives, there is still much to be done. Please help us spread the message: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.
