A peaceful march and rally against police brutality, social injustice, and systemic racism will meet outside of Church of the Good Shepherd, 5 W. Washington Street, Oswego, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2. From there, the group will march to Prairie Point Park, 4120 Plainfield Road, Oswego, for a rally at 3 p.m..
It is a movement, not a moment. Come out to support Black Lives Matter and all of the black and brown members of our communities.
Please bring a sign. Masks and distancing will be required. Police will be present to ensure our safety and our right to peacefully protest.
There will be a variety of speakers representing the surrounding communities. From students to adults, community members to educators, we will come together to recognize the systemic issues in our community and the country.
