Try samples from over a dozen local breweries including returning favorites 93 Octane Brewery, Around the Bend Beer Co., Art History Brewing, Brother Chimp Brewing, Bubblehouse Brewing Co., Energy City Brewing, Golden Fox Brewing, Grainology Brewstillery, Maplewood Brewery & Distillery, Penrose Brewing Co., Second City Meadery, Sew Hop’d Brewery, Skeleton Key Brewery and Sturdy Shelter Brewing. New to the event this year are Foxes Den Medery and Stockholm’s Brewery.
Sponsored by Genesis Integrative Medicine and Waubonsee Community College, Pints by the Pond offers suds enthusiasts the opportunity to taste a wide variety of brews, chat with brewers and meet fellow beer lovers. Only a limited number of tickets are available, and if the event sells out, tickets will not be sold at the festival.
In a few short years, Pints by the Pond has become a beloved event, Jarosz said, with attendees returning each year. “Pints by the Pond has been great since year one, said Batavia resident Kyle Hempel. “It is a fun way to meet people from the area while enjoying time with friends and neighbors and supporting the community.”
Adding to the ambience is live music by Prairie Station Acoustic Duo, a modern country band that covers country favorites, plus beloved 1980s and 1990s tunes. Food will also be available for purchase from Fernando’s Street Kitchen and Billy Bricks Pizza.
