The Plano American Legion Auxiliary Post #395 will seek donations for veterans during Poppy Days Friday, May 23, and Saturday, May 24. Poppies are distributed to honor the sacrifices of veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their families, while also raising funds to support their needs. The red poppy is a recognized symbol of remembrance and sacrifice, particularly associated with World War I.
Volunteers and Legion members will be collecting donations at BP in Plano on East Route 34. Proceeds will go toward helping veterans, active duty military, and their families with medical and financial needs.
