Plano Rockin’ Christmas activities will take place the first weekend in December. Activities include sponsoring Holiday dinner gift cards for families in the community, parade, Christmas music played by Emily G. Johns School 6th Grade Band and Choir and Plano Middle School Choir, window decorating, and refreshments.
The 2023 Plano Rockin’ Christmas Parade will be Friday, Dec. 1. Line up is 5:45 p.m. in the parking lot at Plano High School and parade will begin at 6:30 p.m..
The route is as follows: Start at Plano High School on West Abe Street; straight onto Ben Street; left onto Rock Street; right onto Hale Street; left onto Blackhawk; right onto Schaefer; left onto Bailey; right onto Blake; left onto Mitchell; right onto Klatt Street; left onto Cummins; left onto Eldamain; left onto Hoffman; right onto Waubonsee; right onto Route 34; right onto Needham; left onto Main Street; and parade ends at depot in downtown Plano on Main Street.
The committee is looking for people to sponsor local families with monetary donations for as little as $5 per person ($30 for a family of 4, $40 for a family of 6). Monetary donations will be converted to gift cards to present to families in our community. You may drop off your monetary donations to any of the following locations: Plano Methodist Church, Old Second National Bank, Coopers Home Furnishings, YMCA, Heartland Bank, Lyle’s Automotive, Ivana’s Café, The Wash House, Plano Quick Care, Brothers Country Supply, Plano Hometown Lanes, Little Marketa, Plano City Hall, Cielito Mexican Restaurant, The Friendly Tap, Trendy Finds, and Illinois Community Credit Union.
