As part of Black History Month, the 1940 movie, Broken Strings, will be presented, preceded by a brief introduction to the history of the black film industry, 1916-1950s.

For children ages baby to five, with a grown-up. Older siblings may wait in the Kids’ Library during the program. Call 630-552-2025 to register. Kids can squish and smush their way to the benefits of messy play. It is a child-directed program. Enjoy as many of the activities as they’d like, and stay for as little as 10 minutes or the full 45 minutes.

All ages, children under six must be accompanied by an adult. No registration is required. Walk into a room full of Legos® and Duplos® and let your imagination guide you. Creations will be displayed in the Kids’ Library after the program.
• Independent Storytime FOR 3s, 4s, & 5s, Monday, Feb. 24, 10:30 a.m. to 11:10 a.m..
For independent three through five year-olds, without an adult. It will feature simple stories, music, movement activities, and a simple craft.
