Plano’s second annual Juneteenth Celebration will be held Sunday, June 19 next to Emily G. Johns School at 430 Mitchell Drive in Plano. Celebration will be freedom and family with a day full of relaxation, food, and family fun.
This year’s event will feature a special tribute to fathers and fireworks at dusk to top off the celebration. Entertainment will include the Yorkville High School step team, comedian Torris Brown, spoken word artist Joshua Brown, and the E-Minor R&B band. Plano’s Cub Scout Pack 317 will perform a special presentation on the meaning of Juneteenth.
Participants should feel free to bring a grill, chairs, and pop-up canopy and bring the whole family and meet a community of new friends at the Second Annual Juneteenth Celebration!
