Plentiful youth events at Yorkville Public Library in July

•Artful Beginnings (preschool), Monday, July 21, 10:30 a.m..

Check out this program. We will read a book then create a fun craft project. Please register. Dress for the mess.If you have multiple children, please register each child separately. Thank you.

•Toddler Play, Wednesday, July 23, 10:30 a.m..

Caregivers and littles stop by to play at the library and meet new friends. No registration is needed.

•Family Fort Night, Wednesday, July 23 at 7 p.m. to 8 p.m..

Family Fort Night is back! , Fort building after hours!

Kids, do you like to build forts at home with blankets, pillow, and other supplies? Wouldn’t it be extra cool to build that fort inside Yorkville Public Library and then cozy up with a good book? Here is the chance. Registration is required. Please bring the supplies you need to build your family fort and a flashlight.

•Beautiful Oops (Ages 7 and older), Thursday, July 24, 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m..

Join us for the book, “Beautiful Oops” by Barney Saltzberg to discover mistakes can become positives. It is how we look at it. Then you will create your own art work. Registration is required.

•LEVEL UP Cookie Decorating, Friday, July 25, 2 p.m..

LEVEL UP your decorating skills. Mrs Bethany will share techniques for working with fondants to create characters from a blocky sandbox game. Register soon, space is limited.

•Books for BINGO, Thursday, July 31, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m..

Join us to play BINGO! Winners will receive a gently used book of their choice. All supplies will be provided. Register your family for this event, before it is full.
