Poem: Flag Day

Share this article:

As June 14th is Flag Day, take the time to pause;
Though not a holiday, as such, it’s just as proud.
Old glory is our Colors—there’s no better cause
To show that you’re American, who stands unbowed.
The Stars And Stripes is part of our identity,
As it has stood the test of time through many wars,
You are the reason it still stands, Land of the Free;
It does not lack identity, for it is yours!
Old Glory is our hallowed flag, one of a kind;
It stands above all other symbols as our own;
In it, you see and feel America defined;
The grandest nation anyone has ever known!
