I really do not think I should be telling you,
Where do I get off telling you just what to do?
For what I was about to mention, you know well;
So it is obviously nonsensical to tell.
But I am one who likes to see the good things last;
So, while Christmas is over, why not make it last?
The Christmas spirit is not something you turn off;
Nor is it something, when you think of it, you scoff.
So our demeanor—how we see and act and feel—
Is all we need to keep the Christmas spirit real.
You should not be surprised when all this catches on;
It takes on properties which we see in a dawn.
Let’s put it this way—when you let these chips to fall,
We may not need to call it Christmas after all!
