News flash for the Charles “The Sponge” Coddington! I lived the history of which I speak “Spongy.” And because I lived it, I know it because it affected real lives. My family lived Communism. We felt it through the relatives who were murdered and who were made to disappear. We felt it with poverty, and we felt it by the paranoia we experienced. We felt communism on our skin Mr. Coddington.

You, Mr. Coddington, haven’t lived it. You’ve only known communism as a selective observer, from the comfort of a free country’s wealthy living room… reading books. You’ve allowed yourself to be spoiled by freedom. You take freedom for granted. And you hate our free enterprise system, perhaps because you haven’t been successful and you see other people have been able to do better than you. Perhaps you feel inadequate. And so you choose to turn against free enterprise because it hasn’t worked for you. You are a leftist, it’s obvious, you regurgitate their ideals all the time.

You’ve obviously read up on Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. But you haven’t lived under their tyrannical system, which must take human rights away in order for it to work as conceived.

Communists take civil rights away from their citizens in order to prevent some people from becoming wealthier than others. You love that! Communists create a system which strips away individuality, because it is individuality which creates imagination, which creates opportunities, which creates wealth. And wealth is something communists hate unless they are the ones gaining wealth. So they take from all their people, skim from the top, redistribute what’s left, until the people they control live in poverty.

Communists steal the people’s work, wealth, possessions, opportunities, hopes and dreams. You Charles, don’t know communism because you haven’t lived it! I did!! And this is why I know you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about!

Your “essay” on the socio-political remodeling of the USA described the USSR and other communist regimes perfectly. You rewrote the Communist Manifesto and you didn’t even know it. And as you so eloquently said, ”you can put lipstick on a pig…but it’s still going to be a pig.” Yes! I think you’re going to be running out of lipstick Charles. Your commie essay is going to need much more lipstick than you have. It takes a lot more lipstick than you have to cover the ugly that is Communism.

You proposed a collectivist society Charles. You proposed the confiscation of private property here in the US. And you wanted all of it under the control of government. And then you want to tell us this wouldn’t amount to a dictatorship? Well what the hell would you call a system of government that has the power to confiscate private property? More lipstick please! Perhaps you need to research the words communism, confiscation, and dictatorship to compare how they align. You will find they coincide very nicely. You’re a communist Charles. You propose communism!

My family and I lived behind the iron curtain. We lived under the hell hole system your essay proposed for this country. Then we escaped! We escaped over land mines and snipers. Yes! People must escape the hell hole places you want to create here. Remember, communism can only be implemented through force.

Charles, when you talk of nationalizing/confiscating property, you’re talking about creating a collectivist society in which there is no private ownership of businesses. This is Communism!

Socialist societies do allow some private ownership and private corporations so they can be taxed to “keep the lights on.” However, socialism is the slippery slope to communism where government owns everything. This is exactly what your essay proposed.
