Our young people, and even people in their 50s and older, don’t remember what the Cold War was about. It was between the USSR (Russia) and the United States. Americans. Those below the age of 40 don’t have a good understanding of who was involved in that war or what it was about. Unfortunately, the American people, generally speaking, simply don’t know their own history. And you senior citizens, if you ever tuned in to “The Tonight Show” and saw Jay Leno’s “Jay Walking” or other such programing, you were made painfully aware of the ignorance of even so called college-educated people of our day.

Most young people today know who Taylor Swift is, but have no idea who Neil Armstrong was. If you ask the average man or woman on the street who won the Civil War, you are likely to get France or the U.K. as the answer. Our young people are so woefully ignorant of history, most couldn’t tell you what 9/11 was about or when it happened. Try asking a college student “Who is buried in Grant’s tomb?”… just for fun.

Did you know Communist governments have been responsible for more than 100 million deaths during the 20th Century, and now we have 35% of Americans between the ages of 18 and 30 who prefer communism over a free enterprise economic system. And it is important for you to know the Democrat Party has been taken over by Zorhan Mamdani, a self proclaimed communist. This is what happens when you don’t know your history!

Charles “The Sponge” Coddington, a self-described socialist democrat (communist) and contributor to The Voice, has written how great it would be for government to confiscate your businesses, bank accounts, personal property, and land. He would not allow a private sector (individual wealth creation) under his communism. You would be allowed to work for everyone else, but not yourself. Allowing civil liberties under his communism would mean giving you the opportunities to create wealth for yourself and family. That wouldn’t be allowed under premier Coddington. No inequity would be allowed under Coddington’s communism. Everyone would be relegated to being equally poor. This is the first thing communists do to capitalistic countries. They take away your wealth. Government controls wages and the means of production. Everyone becomes a worker for the State. To assure order and equity…those who oppose the regime “Disappear.”

The following are some of the systematic genocides ( mass murders) perpetrated for the purposes for control by communists during the 20th Century:

•North Korea community regime: 1948 to present, 3,500,000, murdered;

•Armenian Genocide: 1913-1922, 1,500,000;

•Khmr Rouge (Cambodia) Holocaust (Pol Pot): 1975-1979, 3,000,000 dead, one fourth of the population;

•Mao Zedong China: 1946-1976, slave labor, Gulag’s, political purges, class exterminations famine, cultural revolution, 70,000,000;

•Stalinist genocide Russia/USSR: 1922-1953, 20,000,000 to 60,000,000, murdered, including famine.

Stalin famously said: “The death of one man is a tragedy…the death of millions is a statistic.” Stalin personally executed thousands of people himself. His legendary murder marathons consisted of Stalin himself pulling the trigger on dissidents, rivals, and enemies. He only stopped pulling the trigger once his hand got numb.

Control and power are the two major tenets of communism. And the first order of business for those in power is to eliminate individuals who may pose a threat to the power of the State. I had two uncles who were victims in communist Hungary. The aim of this tyranny is control. You will work for the state, not your family or yourself, and you will like it.
