Reader’s Commentary: The land of the free politically in peril

It is an irony that while other countries are moving away from Marxist ideology, we here in the U.S. move into its jaws. The land of the free is in peril. The climate change fanatics and globalists who are already dictating what kinds of cars we must drive, have found a comfortable home in Washington, D.C. and we are a changed country in which lawmakers and members of the Executive Branch no longer keep their oaths of office to protect and defend our Constitution.

How has this been possible? For the most part it’s been the success of the Left to take over our educational institutions and media, while indoctrinating our youth to hating this country. They teach socialism/communism are superior forms of government. Sowing seeds of hate for America has taken root in our children. The history we learned even in the 1980s and 1990s is different from what is being taught today. The themes are the same. How it is written about is quite different. The new writers have embellished, distorted, and added things that never happened. With the elimination of civics classes, our children don’t understand the structure of our government so we don’t understand who we are as a republic.

If you asked an average college graduate to name the three branches of government, you would most likely get a blank stare. The Left has dumbed down our history, geography, and basic understanding of what is the purpose of our constitution. Young people college age up to age 35 want to rid us of our Bill of Rights. They don’t value the constitution which defends their civil liberties. It is being taught the constitution is just a document made up by some guys in powdered wigs, with no relevance in today’s world. A constitution test is no longer required to graduate from high school.

Here’s an alarming tidbit of information for you!! Harvard scored a zero for its tolerance in free speech. If you speak your mind at Harvard…and you don’t agree with their leftist, woke, ideology …you will be shouted off campus. It is sad what we’ve become. Imagine a university that doesn’t believe in free thought. The only thing left is to obey. Liberty is scarce, not only in the U.S. It is under siege by Marxists, globalists, and the woke everywhere. Climate change fanatics, pro-choicers, Antifa, and BLM round out the leftists.

If we lose our civil liberties here in the U.S., there is nowhere else we can go to get them back!

“The Chas” left the planet in the September 21 edition of The Voice when he wrote: “Then there are the gifts he (Biden) has given to the extractive industries–more oil and gas drilling, more logging, more mining, more grazing of cattle–all on public land!” “The Chas” had an aneurism. Wow! First, understand Donald Trump made us energy independent. We were a net exporter of oil under Trump! On Joe’s first day, as promised in his campaign, Biden shut down the X.L. Keystone Pipeline. He shut down drilling in Alaska and continues shutting down fracking and drilling.

That is why you have gone from paying $1.85/gallon at the pumps under Trump to $4.50/gallon under Biden. That is why we have huge inflation and a collapsing economy. Now Chas,…let’s talk about the border!!
