Dear editor;
What a crock of baloney! I am surprised you published this anti- police hatchet job (John and Nisha Whitehead’s column in the October 20, 2022 edition of The Voice).
Police have enough problems keeping the public trust and support. This is totally false crap!
I know a lot of police and they are, as a group, good, decent, caring, people who only want to serve their communities!
Yes, there are a few, same percentage, of bad cops but the other 99% are following the law and treat people with way more patience and grace then they deserve, judging by their response to traffic stops!
The author did have a throw-away line in the column, writing that most cops were good, but then painted a very bleak picture of the American police state!
How about we get behind the good guys for a change! How about we start treating criminals like criminals and protect our neighborhoods.
How about the media, you, start reporting the truth and not spreading division! I hope your advertisers pay attention to what you are printing!
