Dear editor;

On behalf of the members of the Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora, please accept our sincere thank you for your support and participation, in our clubs various Diabetes Awareness and Fundraising Events, held during 2021.

The Aurora Cosmo Members raise funds for Diabetes Research at the UChicago Medicine-Kovler Diabetes Center, Diabetes Education for recently diagnosed underinsured patients at the Rush Copley Diabetes Education Center, and to send Type 1 diabetic kids to the American Diabetes Association’s Educational Summer Camps, along with assisting diabetics in obtaining Diabetic Alert Dogs (DADs).

A special thank you to the following businesses and organizations who donated their facilities, and/or talents to help make our 2021 Diabetes Fundraising and Awareness Events a huge success: Advent Christian Church, Arch Printing, Aurora Historical Society/Tanner House Museum, Chicago Steel Hockey Team, City of Aurora/National Night Out, Fox Valley Park District/Blackberry Farm, Insight Marketing Solutions, Oak Street Restaurant, Spartan House, Sycamore Speedway, and The Voice/Al Benson and Carter Crane.

Since 1927, the Cosmopolitan Club members have endeavored to make Aurora and the surrounding communities a better place to live. Today, we are “The Club That Fights Diabetes”, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, working to find a cure, while bringing about an awareness of diabetes.
