Dear editor;

If you want to win almost any argument or election, listen more than you speak. Find out what the people want and then work together with your fellow legislators (they’re just people too) to make it happen.

Listening to people helps you hear how they are feeling. President Joe Biden accomplished lowering drug prices on insulin by working with Medicare, and would have continued that process for even higher priced drugs in his second administration. People can feel that.

Remember how you felt during the pandemic when you couldn’t buy a car or washing machine because of microchip supply chain disruptions from overseas? The Biden-Harris Administration got to work passing the CHIPS and Science Act to bring semiconductor manufacturing back to America that will ensure an essential chip supply for key U.S. industries including auto and defense and create approximately 10,000 good construction and manufacturing jobs. People will feel that.

President Biden forged consensus and compromise between Democrats, Republicans, and independents to Build Back Better America through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. These 66,000 funded projects for repaving roads and water system upgrades, massive bridge and transit rebuilds will soon be felt by people.

As these Biden projects, CHIPS, Infrastructure, and maintaining Affordable Care Act are felt by people, Biden will be gone. Donald Trump’s upcoming No. 47 administration will take credit for Biden’s work forgetting that Trump No. 45 promised an infrastructure bill and a better healthcare bill every two weeks, but neither ever happened. Remember that before you thank Trump instead of Biden.
