Kevin Harvick held off the Toyota of Denny Hamlin to win his first NASCAR Cup race of the season. Following Harvick and Hamlin were Eric Jones in third place, Ryan Blaney in fourth, and Matt DiBenedetto in fifth.

Kyle Busch led most laps of the race and won the first stage.

Later, during lap 214, Kyle Busch ran his car into the wall which took him out of contention. However, he did manage to finish in eighth place overall.

Aric Almirola led 12 laps and won stage two.

During the third, and final stage, it looked as if Hamlin would capture a victory. However, Harvick and his crew took a gamble and passed the final cycle of pit stops to gain track position. Harvick beat Hamlin to the flag by less than one second.
